GRAFTING ON THE MACHINE
(Kitchener Stitch)

Hang both pieces on the machine with the right sides together.

Start on the right side and go thru the "front" stitch from back-to-front.

Then go thru both stitches on the 1st needle back-to-front.

Now front-to-back thru the front stitch on the 2nd needle and the back stitch on the 1st needle.

Then back-to-front again thru both stitches on the 2nd needle.

If you always stitch at the angle shown entering and exiting on the side of the needle as shown, you won't make a mistake.

As you make each stitch, pull up the slack, but don't pull too tight. The spacing of the needles will give an even tension.
