INVISIBLE SHORT-ROWING
Next time you are short-rowing and want
it to be invisible, such as a sideways knit skirt, try this short-rowing method. It takes
a little more time than the automatic wrap method, but the results are well-worth the
extra time. If you are short-rowing several needles, put all needles minus 1 in Hold
opposite the carriage. For example, if you are short-rowing 10 needles every 2 rows, put 9
needles in Hold. Knit 1 row, wrap the yarn under and over the first needle in Hold. Then
put the 10th needle in Hold and wrap under the new needle. Knit the 2nd row.
"Under and over the old -- then under the new."
