Zastrow, Ida M. (b. 21 AUG 1904, d. 12 JUN 2005)
Note: FORT ATKINSON? Ida M. Langholff, 100, of Fort Atkinson, WI, died Sunday, June 12, 2005, at Wellington Meadows in Fort Atkinson, WI. Ida was born on Aug. 21, 1904, in Schweitzer, KY, the daughter of William L. and Elizabeth (Mack) Zastrow. Ida attended schools in Franklin, KY, and Bartlett, KS, and moved to Cambridge, WI, when the family purchased a farm near there in 1921. On June 4, 1927, Ida married Clarence A. (Cal) Langholff, at the home of her parents, in Cambridge, WI. They were married by Pastor Palmer Jahnke of St. Paul's Ev. Lutheran Church, Fort Atkinson. Prior to her marriage Ida worked in Milwaukee and Evanston, IL. After her marriage she worked at the Whitewater Raincoat Factory during World War II and then worked for W.D. Hoard & Sons Co. for 25 years, retiring in 1970. Ida was a member of St. Paul's Ev. Lutheran Church, its Ladies Aid and the Bible Class. She also was a charter member of the local chapter of AARP and was instrumental, with her husband, in helping to start the local chapter. She also served on its executive board for several years. She was a former member of the Lakeside Lutheran High School Auxiliary. Ida was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and the Fort Atkinson Historical Society. She was a member of the Fort Atkinson Hospital Auxiliary for many years, and in past years served as a volunteer at the Bethesda Lutheran Home in Watertown and Countryside Home in Jefferson. Surviving are her husband, Clarence A. "Cal" Langholff of Fort Atkinson, WI; daughter, Norma J. Mumm of Farmington Hills, MI; son, Kenneth L. (Emily) Langholff of Fort Atkinson, WI; 4 grandchildren: Tom (Linda) Mumm of Walled Lake, MI, Brenda (Andy) Ruzzin of Farmington Hills, MI, Faith Schutters of Tecumseth, MO, and Bruce (Laura) Langholff of Watertown, WI; 7 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Ida was the oldest of 9 children in her family, and surviving are her 2 sisters, Helen Armstrong of Watertown, WI, and Irma Hartman of Muncie, IN, and her 2 brothers, Paul Zastrow of Cambridge, WI, and Harold (Gerry) Zastrow of Fort Atkinson, WI. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 17, 2005, at ST. PAUL 's Ev. Lutheran Church , Fort Atkinson, with Rev. Michael Duncan officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Fort Atkinson, WI. Friends may call from 5:30 until 8:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 16, 2005, at Nitardy Funeral Home , Fort Atkinson, and after 10:00 a.m. on Friday at Church until the services. Those wishing to express their sympathy may wish to consider memorials to St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Lakeside Lutheran High School, Fort Atkinson Senior Center, or Rainbow Hospice of Jefferson, Jefferson, WI.

Note: In the reign of Richard II, Pierre de Morlaix [or Morley] probably a norman from the town of Morlaix, in France, was a high steward of the estate of Hugo Despencer, who was at the time one of the richest and most powerful nobles of England. This Pierre de Morlaix had by his wife, Agnes Taylor, a son Henry, who on the death of his father was known as Henry Pierrekin, or Henry of the son of Pierre. He succeeded to the stewardship and had a son John, who in time became steward and wrote his name John Perkins, and sometimes, Perkyns, armiger.
