Sommerer, Wilhemina "Minnie" M. (b. 21 OCT 1877, d. 21 APR 1913)
Note: Mrs Carl Langholff (Minnie Sommerer)
Mrs Carl Langholff was called to the eternal rest early Wednesday morning, May 21st, after an illness of about four months.

The deceased was taken ill last February and althouth suffering considerable pain, her condition, for a time, was encouraging. But later she grew worse and it developed that she was suffering from tuberculosis of the throat. Everything that medical science, devoted nursing and tendered care could devise were given in an attempt to stay the dread disease, but to no avail. During the last few weeks she suffered untold agony. But she faced the inevitable with true Christian fortitude and sought to comfort her beloved ones when the hour of parting drew near.

Some weeks ago the Langholff home had been closed by the illness of the little son, and the mother, to be freed from the worry and to insure every comfort, was taken to the home of Albert Mumm, Sr., while the devoted father remained at home to aid in nursing the little one back to health. As a last request Mrs Langholff asked that she be taken home and here the end came peacefully Wednesday morning.

Minnie Sommerer was born at Jefferson October 22 1877. After attending parochial school, she graduated from the Jefferson high school, class of 1896, and for several years successfully taught school. April 9 1902, she married to Mr Carl Langholff and resided for a time in town Jefferson during the past six years the family had resided in Fort Atkinson.

The deceased is survived by her grief-stricken husband and two small children. She also leaves a widowed mother, Mrs Margaret Sommerer, one sister, Mrs August Pitzner of Jefferson, and numerous other relatives.

The funeral services were held Saturday at 1:30 at the home on Edwards street and at 2 at St Paul's church, Rev A E Nicholaus officiating, with interment in Evergreen Cemetery. - Jefferson County Democrat

This young woman was well and intimately known in a large circle of friends and acquaintances in Jefferson, where she was born and raised to young womanhood and all sincerely mourn her untimely demise.
