JEFFERSON - Dorothy I. Pitzner, 90, of Jefferson, formerly of rural Watertown, town of Farmington, went to her eternal home on Sunday, July 15, 2007. She resided at Twin Rivers Health Care in Jefferson.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 11 a.m. at St. Mark's Evangeli-cal Lutheran Church in Watertown with the Rev. Michael Jensen officiating. Burial will be in Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery, Farm-ington.

Friends and family may call to pay their respects at the church on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.

Memorials are suggested to St. Mark's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Water-town.

Dorothy was born on June 6, 1917, in Hubbel, Mich., daughter of the late Paul H. and Almena (Bourdeau) Ellsworth. On Aug. 27, 1938, she married Eldyn A. Pitzner in Kenosha.

Dorothy had been employed as a supervisor at Bethesda Lutheran Home in Watertown from 1959 to 1975 and later volunteered at Bethesda Thrift Shop for 11 years. She was a member of St. Mark's Evangelical Luth-eran Church in Watertown and its ladies aid. She was past president and an honorary member of the Wethonkitha Club in Water-town and a charter member of OWLS.

Dorothy loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She also loved to cook and enjoyed flower gardening.

She is survived by two sons, Eldyn (Phyllis) Pitzner Jr. of Farmington and Lee (Dianna) Pitzner of Water-town; seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; a brother, James (Alice) Ells-worth of Hudson, Colo.; a sister-in-law, Rose Ellsworth of Kenosha; nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends.

Dorothy was further preceded in death by her husband, Eldyn Pitzner, on July 1, 2000; a sister; and three brothers.
