Chandler, William (b. OCT 1595, d. 26 JAN 1641/42)
Note: Immigrated to America in 1637 with his wife, Annis, and 4 children. Setted in Roxbury, Mass.
He was a pointer by trade. Point making was the craft of making of the lace tags for fastening clothing which were in vogue before buttons came into use.

His emigration was due to the preaching of Rev. John Eliot, the Puritan minister known as the "Apostle to the Indians".

Cogswell, John (b. 1622, d. 27 SEP 1653)
Note: In 1652, John's wife died, leaving 3 children with the youngest a year old. John was broken by the affliction and his poor health, so he arranged with his sister, Mrs. Waldo, to care for his children and sailed for England in the Fall of 1652. He arrived in London, visited his sister and other friends. In Fall of 1653, John started on his return to America, but died on the passage at the age of 30 years. His orphaned children were brought up among his friends with their uncle William as their guardian.
