Hoskins, Isaac (b. 2 JAN 1783, d. 5 FEB 1866)
Note: Listed in the [Pioneers of Madison Co., NY] as and Ensign in the New York Militia in 1796 and lived in Brookfield, Madison County. He left New York in 1820 and and settled on the American bottom east of St. Louis, Mo., when that city consisted of only a few log cabins. In a short time he moved to Pike county, where he spent the remainder of his life.

At the residence of his son John HOSKINS, in Atlas township, on Sunday the 3d inst. Isaac HOSKINS aged about 85 years.
Mr. HOSKINS was one of the very oldest settlers of Pike county, having settled here about the year 1821. He leaves a large and highly respected circle of relatives to mourn his loss.
