Note: Florence Lila (Borzick) Swader, 81, of Johnston, died peacefully Oct. 25, 2008, at Roger Williams Hospital in Providence.

Born July 17, 1927, in Harrisville, Wis., the daughter of the late Joe and Helen (Kasierski) Borzick, she moved to Johnston in 2001. She was the wife of the late Benedict F. Swader, whom she married Aug. 30, 1947. They had been married for 41 years until he passed away March 28, 1988. Ben and Florence owned BenDeano’s with Dean and Joan Walters, from 1967-1973. She worked at Montello grade school lunch program and was a homemaker. She enjoyed watching Packer games, cooking and doing craftwork. She leaves five children, Steve Swader of Whitewater, Wis., Cindy (Swader) Buchanan of Montello, Wis., Jack Swader (Cindy) of Port St. Lucie, Fla., Judy Norton (Russ) of Johnston and Sheila Swader of Preston, Conn.; a sister, Joan Walters (Dean) of Montello; two sisters-in-law, Bernie Borzick (Richard) of Montello and Crescentia Reilly (Donald) of Wautoma Wis.; a brother-in-law, Peter Swader of Wautoma; seven grandchildren, Michelle (Swader) Harnish (Chad) in Wisconsin, Gretchen (Swader) Bailey (Brent) in Maryland, Adam Swader of Milwaukee, Wis., Paul Swader of LaCrosse, Wis., and Russell Norton, Becki Norton and Ben Norton, all of Johnston; three great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was the mother of the late Michael (Spike) Swader who died Dec.13, 1996, and the sister of the late Richard Borzick, Betty Brittain, Gertrude Bloomsted and Mabel Borzic

Her service and burial will be at a later date at the St. Johns Catholic Cemetery in Montello, Wis.
