George Clemence Etue, 80 yrs, of Temperance, died Thursday at Hospice of Northwest Ohio.

Friends may call at the Capaul Funeral Home, Ida, Saturday from 7-9 PM and Sunday from 12-9 PM. The Knights of Columbus will have a Rosary Service at 7 PM Sunday. He will lie in state at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Ida, Monday from 10 AM until Mass of the Resurection at 11 AM.

Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Ida.

Born July 17, 1928 in LaSalle, MI, he was the son of George and Beatrice (Cousino) Etue. He married Joann Folk on June 25, 1955, in St. Joseph's Church, Ida. George was a machine operator for Neo Products of Erie, for 33 yrs, and then was employed by the Monroe County Drain Commission until retirement in 1993. A member of St. Joseph's Church, he was also a member of Fr. Stanley Bowers Knights of Columbus Council 8698, Ida, and the Ida Athletic Association. He loved collecting pennies, playing cards, and watching the grandchildren play sports.

Surviving are: his wife of 53 years, Joann; a son Greg (Deborah), of Georgia; three daughters, Karen (Joel) Miller, of Dundee, Nancy (Mike) Brancheau, of Temperance, Gail (Jeff) Kloster, of Ida; two brothers, Gerald Etue, of Detroit, Jim (Carole) Etue, of New Jersey; four sisters, Rosemary (Leo) Riehle, of Lake, MI, Jean Boudrie, of Monroe, Joann (Bill) Woods, of Lambertville, Sandy Frome, of Temperance; six grandchildren and one great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Tom, and two sisters, Carol Evans and Jeanette Sulewski.

Jeanette Sulewski, 73 years, of Temperance, MI died Saturday, August 23, 2008, in her home.

The daughter of George and Beatrice (Cousino) Etue, she was born December 19, 1934, in Erie, MI. April 11, 1955, she married Leonard Sulewski in St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Erie.

Jeanette was a loving mother and grandmother. She loved to cook, garden, and crochet.

She was an active lifetime member of Lynn C. Weeman Post #514 American Legion Auxiliary in Temperance, working the bingo, dances, dinners and benefits for many years. She was also a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Temperance.

She is survived by her loving husband, Leonard; children, Bonnie Sulewski of Toledo, Beckie (Deke) Billau of Temperance, Michael (Rose) Sulewski of Temperance, Kathy (David) Duda of Saugerties, NY, Dale Sulewski of Temperance, Lea (Troy) Etts of Temperance; sisters, Rosemary (Leo) Riehle of Lake, MI, her twin Jean Boudrie of Monroe, Joanne (William) Wood of Temperance, Sandra Frome of Lambertville, brothers, George (Joann) Etue of Temperance, James (Carole) Etue of Medford Lake, NJ, Gerald Etue of Detroit and 9 grandchildren, Mike Sulewski Jr., Ashley Schroyer (Corey), Jason Sulewski, Amber Billau, Troy Billau, Jonathan Duda, Stacie Duda, Ryllie Etts, and Kenedie Etts, and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister and a brother.
