Note: PORTAGE - Tina M. Mootz Gaffney, 48, of Portage, passed away following a short, courageous battle with cancer on Tuesday, Sept. 30, 2008, at the family farm.
Tina was born June 15, 1960, in Portage, the daughter of Henry and Rose Thompson Mootz. She had worked at AMPI for 24 years and also at the Tamarack in Portage for five years.
She is survived by her parents, Rose and Henry Mootz of Portage; her grandmother, Helen Thompson of Portage; three children, Dustin McDaniel of Portage, Trevor Gaffney of Briggsville and Melissa Gaffney of Portage; her granddaughter, Haillie Ann Rose McDaniel; her previous spouse, Charlie Gaffney of Briggsville; three brothers and sister, Timothy (Julianne) Mootz of Portage, Theodore (Tammy Sue) Mootz of Portage and Tammy (Todd) Tedeschi of Poynette; and nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Henry Mootz Sr.; her grandmother; Harriet Stahmner; and her grandfather, Charles Thompson.
Visitation will be held from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday at Pflanz Mantey Mendrala Funeral Home in Portage. Inurnment will be private.
