Earl C. Sigafus, age 81, of Reedsburg, died on Saturday, January 6, 2007, at his home. He was born on June 30, 1925, in Illinois, the son of John F. and Louisa W. (Paige) Sigafus. On December 7, 1946, Earl was united in marriage to Norma R. Hecock. This marriage was blessed with three daughters. Norma preceded Earl in death on April 15, 2004. Earl farmed for many years in rural Wisconsin Dells until 1956. He was employed with Seats, Inc. for 10 years. Earl later worked with his brother at the Citgo Station in Reedsburg before working at the Call of the Wild Gas Station in Wisconsin Dells, retiring in 1994. Earl was a devoted father and grandfather. He gave his life to the Lord in 1997, and always treated others as he wished to be treated. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Earl was also preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Norma Molle’ in 1990; grandson, James Michael Eastman; sons-in-law, Thomas Hartman and PFC Michael Prothero;
He is survived by his daughters, Judie and Joseph Eastman, Jr. of Reedsburg,
Debbie Hartman of Madisonville, KY;
Grandchildren, Joe (Larissa) Eastman, Jason (Amy) Eastman, Jon Eastman and fiancée, Selena Rego, Jennifer and Michael Hartman;
Great Grandchildren, Kylie Rinderman-Eastman, Abby, Carter, Caden, and Jade Eastman, Joseph Michael Eastman, Seth and Jade Rego;
Brothers and sisters, John (Shirley) Sigafus of Hayward,
Ethel Deinburg of Evansville,
Mary (Bob) Bennett of Wisconsin Rapids;
Sisters-in-law, Nina (Joe) Baker of Reedsburg,
Ramona (Al) La’Vene of Ohio;
Along with many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Earl C. Sigafus will be conducted at 11:30 AM on Tuesday, January 9, 2007, at the Farber Funeral Home in Reedsburg with Pastor Scott Buhrow officiating. Burial will be made in Greenwood Cemetery, Reedsburg at a later date. Friends may call on Monday from 4-8 PM at the Farber Funeral Home and on Tuesday from 10:00 AM until the time of the service at the funeral home.
