Note: Floyd C. Hecock, 74, of Cheyenne died Sept. 9 in Fort Collins, Colo.
He was born Feb. 4, 1930, in Scranton, N.D., and had lived here since 1970. Mr. Hecock had retired as a salesman for Frito Lay. He was a member of First Congregational Church and Eagles No. 128.
Mr. Hecock is survived by a daughter, Kathy Marty of Maynard, Minn.; three brothers, Merlin Hecock of Butte, Mont., Dale Hecock of Stanford, Mont., and Clair Hecock of Three Forks, Mont.; a sister, Beverly Chester of California; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Carol Hecock, on April 21, 1999; a son, Jerry Hecock; and his parents, Roland and Pearl Hecock.
Interment will be in Cheyenne Memorial Gardens.

Eugene Robert Hecock passed away at his home in Folsom California after a lengthy illness, surrounded by his loving family. He was a retired gas department light crew foreman for Pacific Gas and Electric Company where he worked for more than 33 years. He was a member of the I.B.E.W. union local 1245.
Eugene was born in Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin, the third son of Leslie G. and Wanda R. Hecock. The family moved to Bellingham in 1946 and Eugene attended school here until graduation from Meridian High School in 1957. He then joined the Navy for three years and following his discharge, moved to California. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Gale R. Hecock.
He is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Rita, of Folsom California and 6 children: Cynthia, Gina and Leslie Hecock all of the Bellingham area, Rebecca Richhart of Fresno California, Charles Holt of Herald, California and Robert Holt of Folsom and their families. Also surviving are 10 grandchildren and two brothers, Donald of Cosmopolis, Washington and Edward of Antioch, California and their families.
Eugene will always be remembered for his intelligence, his quiet manner and pleasant demeanor. Even in his final stages of life, although in pain, he never complained, tried to smile and be happy and enjoyed visits from family and friends. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday July 20th at 1:00 p.m. at the St. John's Lutheran Church at 1701 L Street in downtown Sacramento, California. Burial will be at sea at his request. In lieu of flowers the family is requesting donations in his memory to the Sutter V.N.A. and Hospice 1836 Sierra Gardens Drive, Suite 160, Roseville, California 95661.
