Haskins, Stanley B. (b. 24 JUN 1928, d. 23 JUN 2007)
Note: LANCASTER - Stanley B. Haskins, age 78 of Lancaster, died on Saturday, June 23, 2007, at Grant Regional Health Center, Lancaster. He was born on June 24, 1928, in Lancaster, the son of Lester and Helen (Beetham) Haskins. Stan attended school at Lancaster High School, graduating in 1946. He enlisted in the United States Army in the fall of 1946. Stan served in Okinawa, Japan and received his honorable discharge in 1948. On Aug. 6, 1949, he was united in marriage to Mary Louise Hallingstad at the United Methodist Church in Lancaster. In 1950, Stan joined his father, Lester, and founded Haskins Gas and Oil. They owned and operated locations in Lancaster, Cobb, Platteville, Cassville, and Bloomington. Stan was a 50 year member of the Warren Lodge No. 4 Fand AM and Zor Temple Shrine member. He was also a lifetime member of the William Pollock VFW Post No. 2344 and Richard Burns American Legion Post No. 109 as well as a member of the NRA, past state president of the Wisconsin LP Gas Association and a proud member of the Leinies Lodge. He enjoyed family fishing and hunting trips, winters in Florida, and long weekends at the river house in Bagley. Stan was looking forward to the arrival of his sixth great-grandchild. Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Mary Lou Haskins of Lancaster; his children, David (Susan) Haskins of Lancaster, Kristin (Felix) Richgels of Middleton, LuAnne (Doug) Pink of Lancaster, and Thomas (Amy) Haskins of Middleton; 12 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a brother, Darrel (Marly) Haskins of Lancaster; a brother-in-law, Paul (Jane) Hallingstad of Sun Prairie; many nieces and nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Paul; and a grandson, Benjamin Richgels in 1981. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 26, 2007, at 10:30 a.m. at SCHWARTZ FUNERAL HOME in Lancaster. Burial with military honors will be in Hillside Cemetery, Lancaster. Friends may call on Monday, June 25, 2007, from 3 p.m. until 7 p.m. with a Masonic Service at 7 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of plants and flowers, a Stanley B. Haskins memorial fund has been established

Haskins, Roger Allen (b. 21 JUL 1931, d. 30 JUL 2005)
Note: Roger Allen Haskins, 74, Prentice, died July 30, 2005, in St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield.

He was born in Stetsonville on July 21, 1931, the son of Lee and Helen (Zastrow) Haskins. He moved to Pennington with his family in 1936. He was married to Audrey Erickson in Hawkins on Nov. 25, 1950. He worked as a cheese maker at a number of Wisconsin creameries, finally at the Knox Mills Cheese Factory, he was then employed by Omark Industries in Prentice, and finally by Prentice Hardware until the time of his retirement in 1986. In his free time he enjoyed fishing, hunting, and restoring older vehicles.

He is survived by his wife Audrey; by three children, Shirley May, Prentice; Sandra Kay (David) Henthorn, Ogema; and Randy Carl (Angelika), Virginia, Minn.; by two granddaughters and two great-grandchildren; by four brothers, Norman (Sue), Ingram; Don, Prentice; Roy (Linda), Phillips; and Gene (Joyce), Ogema; and by four sisters, Lorraine (Russ) Sarkinen; Elaine Paffendorf; and Doris (Eugene) Hall, all of Prentice; and Carol Anderson, Eau Claire.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert and Howard.

Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. on Sat., Aug. 6, at the First Lutheran Church, Prentice, with Rev. Matthew Lee of the First Lutheran Church of Prentice officiating. Inurnment will be in the Prentice Cemetery.

The Heindl Funeral Home, Prentice, is assisting the family with arrangements.
