WESTFIELD - Elma B. Lee, age 89, of Westfield, formerly of Madison, passed away following a lengthy illness on Friday, Sept. 29, 2006, at Divine Savior Extended Care, Portage. She was born on Oct. 5, 1916, in the township of Packwaukee-Sunny Flats, daughter of the late Leon and Laura (Kruger) Haskins. Elma attended Madison East High School. She worked for Kidder Radio, Madison, during World War II, and was a proud member of Madison Turner Hall and numerous state volleyball championship teams. On Sept. 24, 1952, Elma married Wayne Lee. She helped in the family business, Lee's Roto-Rooter, Madison for 36 years until her retirement in 1988. Elma and Wayne retired to Lawrence Lake to enjoy a life of fishing, friends, cooking and relaxation. Survivors include her husband, Wayne; a sister, Lorraine (Philip) Ferstl, Elkhorn; and numerous relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Marvin and Ronald Haskins. A funeral service for Elma will be held on Thursday, Oct. 5, 2006, at 1 p.m. at STEINHAUS-HOLLY FUNERAL HOME, Westfield, with Vicar Ron Riemer officiating. Interment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, township of Packwaukee. A visitation will be held on Thursday from 11 a.m. until the hour of service at the funeral home.
