Note: Newspaper clipping from Town of Mina scrapbook: 7/4/1915: Findley Lake: The dead body of Amos Haskin was found hanging under a bridge not far from his home death due to suicide. Mr. Haskin was in his 68th year, and had been depressed because of ill health for some time. Yesterday, it was noticed he was walking around the premises where he had lived with a length of rope in his hands but nothing was thought of the occurance until members of the family arose about 5 this morning and discovered his absense. It was nearly five hours later they discovered him. His mother, one of the oldest residents of this place survives. He also leaves several sisters: Mrs. Emma Williams of Bemus Point; Miss Thomas Wilcox; Mrs. John McIntosh and Mrs. Hannah Swtizer of Findley Lake.
