Note: Unfortunately, the name of Rev. Joseph CRANDALL'S wife is given as Deborah Hubbard BURDICK in most genealogical sources. Because of the time frame, it should be pointed out that this is most probably an error. Middle names were NOT found in that particular time frame -- Deborah, daughter of Robert and Ruth (Hubbard) Burdick, was born about 1662. Middle names were not used then!
Someone came along later (and who makes no difference), and added this middle name, probably at a time when it was in vogue for an older daughter to have the maiden name of the mother as a middle name. And, sadly, it's been "hanging around" ever since.
